About Us

Welcome to Gambrit School

Gambrit School is a non-profit organisation founded in 2019 by Amina Ceesay. What began as a humble initiative to support 15 orphan girls in their Quran memorisation and provide academic and Islamic education within an Islamic environment has now blossomed into a thriving institution, catering to over 200 students.

Our Mission

At Gambrit School, our mission is to provide an excellent academic and Islamic education within a nurturing Islamic environment. We aim to equip our students with the knowledge and skills necessary for their intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development.

Our Philosophy

We adhere to a holistic approach in education, emphasising the development of good character and a strong commitment to individual excellence, family, community, and humanity.

Our Commitment

As an educational institution, we are committed to the following:

Promoting Student Welfare

Our primary role is to safeguard and promote the welfare of our students. We strive to create an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and supported. We recognise the importance of addressing their intellectual, emotional, social, and physical needs.

Ensuring Equal Opportunities

At Gambrit School, we believe in equality of opportunities. We are dedicated to providing an environment where all students have equal access to educational resources and experiences. Every student is given the chance to thrive and succeed.

Academic Excellence

Our qualified and experienced teachers are dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential academically. We offer a modern and well-tailored curriculum that is regularly reviewed to ensure it meets the current educational standards and the evolving needs of our students.

Building on Islamic Education

Islamic education is at the core of Gambrit School. We focus on providing students with a deep understanding of Islam and its practical applications in their daily lives. Our Hifz department offers quality lessons to memorise the Holy Qur’an, complementing the students’ regular subjects.

Character Development

We strive to develop students of good character, instilling strong moral values and ethics. Our emphasis on Akhlaq (morals) and Adhab (manners) helps shape students who not only excel academically but also become responsible, compassionate, and contributing members of society.
